Transforming into Divine Love

Many times, what one may consider love may not necessarily be love in its purest form... In many cases, love may be egoic. If someone validates your ego, or gives you what you want or need, you feel love for them, but if they don’t, the feelings or sense of connection may fade away. This is how love typically is within our modern-day society. It is possible though that egoic love can be transcended and transformed into divine love. You may still feel the same warm feelings for someone, but this type of love goes beyond the ego. It’s not about getting validation from someone, or even getting anything from them, but simply just sharing love from the core of your being. A deep unconditional love is all about giving of one’s heart.

When it is true, authentic love, your soul is able to see and feel the presence of God within another.  The ‘gold’ within them is revealed! And as you do this, shining your own love freely, you may also begin to understand how it is as though the person is metaphorically holding up a mirror back to you, reminding you of your own divinity as well. When there is love,  the highest truth is always revealed.

Love can see perfection within the imperfections of another, and forgiveness becomes an easier and quicker process, wiping the slate of the past clean as though whatever hurts happened before never even existed. Love chooses to remember only the good. Within this energy, you can accept and embrace people in all their imperfections, having compassion for them in the ways they may still need to heal and grow. Within the energy of divine love, as the ego fades away, one may get to the point where there is nothing to forgive.

Love can be a powerful energy that not only supports another person, but also helps to bring out the best in someone. And many times, just being around that person may be the fuel that is needed for the best to come out in you as well. But even when you are alone, if you can still feel the love resonating in your heart, keeping this energy alive is what is truly important. Love can be a magical, surreal ‘force’ from within that transcends space and time, energizing everything that you do.

When there is love, a love that truly lights up the soul, it is only natural that this energy will flow out and be able to uplift and bless others as well. This energy may be directed toward wherever your heart is guided, be it within your connections with other people, your career or business, and so forth. Even animals, plants and trees can benefit from the love energy you shine forth!

Sometimes people can be afraid to love though, because it may be true that at times, love may feel like an emotional rollercoaster, and there is the potential to get hurt. Some may choose to opt out, and prefer a life of greater solitude. And while it may be the case that one can still connect to the divine directly, human love is one of the best ways for transformation into divine love to take place.

So when you choose to love, be it within a romantic relationship, friendship, or family connection, can you keep your motivations pure, ultimately to shine your heart, and be giving and loving to another? This intention may be the fuel that allows for you to get through the ebbs and flows of connecting with another, especially when there are challenges.

And how can you best shine love out to others? Whenever you are truly in an abundant state of being, feeling as though your ‘cup’ from within is already full, overflowing in joy and peace regardless of external circumstances, that’s when you can know you are aligned. From this place of inner abundance and joy, the inner riches of love may be poured out into the world, whether it be in humble or profound ways.

Relationships can provide a wonderful space of learning to release the ego, while shining love just for the joy of loving. Just as the sun shines light without needing anything in return, so too can our love become like the sun when we are able to transcend the ego and ascend into Spirit. Even if a person is not offering love or affection in return, or even if someone has hurt you, you can still allow your ego dissolve to the point of becoming transparent, spacious light. From this place of being centered, you can still choose to love them and see the highest within them, even in spite of their behavior. When your heart is centered within an ‘inward smile’, that’s what you will have to offer outwardly as well. Imagine how beautiful the world could be if we could all respond and react to people and circumstances in this way more and more often…

So looking around at your current life, whatever the current circumstances may be, can you still choose to stay aligned with the music of your heart? And can you choose to see through eyes of love?  Regardless of how others may be responding, you can always choose to stay centered in your highest energy of joy and peace. And you can still choose to see the 'gold' within others, seeing their radiant spirit shining from within. May it be so that you go forth, and shine your love like the sun! When we can continue to transcend the ego, transforming into divine love, and living as Spirit, this is where the magic takes place.
